“Got Swabbed?”

November 21st, 2010 by jnedley

Last year we held a pair of bone-marrow drives, from which we registered nearly two hundred potential donors for the National Marrow Donor Program.  Since then we’ve heard from a handful of you who were contacted by the NMDP as possible matches.  Your willingness to help save a life is inspirational, and strengthens our resolve to register as many potential donors as we can.

We’re back at it this year, but we’ve got some help.  We’re joining Hillel at Ohio UniversityLet My People Know, and the Ohio University Jewish Life on Campus Alumni Association for the “Got Swabbed?” Bone Marrow Drive on Sunday, December 5 from noon to 6 p.m. at The Mandel Jewish Community Center in Beachwood.  We’ll be there all day to help and to promote The Carter Nedley Foundation.

In Hillel, we’ve got quite an accomplished partner.  During an on-campus drive held last year, they registered more than 2,000 potential donors.

If you were unable to register at one of our drives last year, we hope you’ll consider coming to “Get Swabbed?” to join the registry.
